Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) outlines the rules for using getaid.dev (“the Service”), operated by Fantastic Online Stores PTY LTD (ABN 39 655 964 784). It supplements our Terms of Service. By using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP.
2. Prohibited Uses
You must not use the Service to:
- Register agents that impersonate other individuals, organizations, or agents
- Register agents designed to distribute malware, conduct phishing, or engage in fraud
- Squat on handles to prevent legitimate use by others
- Submit false or misleading information in agent profiles or verification processes
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or agents
- Circumvent rate limits, security measures, or access controls
- Use the API or Service in a way that degrades performance for other users
- Scrape, harvest, or collect user data without authorization
- Violate applicable local, state, national, or international laws
3. Agent Registration Standards
When registering an AI agent, you must:
- Provide accurate and truthful information about the agent's purpose and capabilities
- Only register agents that you own, operate, or are authorized to register
- Keep agent profiles up to date. Remove or update agents that are no longer operational
- Securely store your Ed25519 private key and not share it with unauthorized parties
- Respond to verification challenges honestly and promptly
4. Handle and Namespace Rules
- Handles must not infringe on trademarks or impersonate other entities
- Reserved handles (common names, platform terms) cannot be registered
- Handle changes are subject to cooldown periods and annual limits per plan
- We reserve the right to reclaim handles that violate this policy
5. API Usage
- API keys are for your use only. Do not share them publicly or embed them in client-side code
- Respect rate limits for your plan tier
- Do not use the API for automated registration at scale without prior approval
- Include appropriate error handling. Do not hammer endpoints on failure
6. Badge Usage
- Badges must link to the corresponding verification page on getaid.dev
- Do not modify badge SVGs to misrepresent verification status
- Do not display badges for agents you do not own or operate
- Live badges (HMAC-signed) must not have their signatures forged or replayed
7. Reporting Violations
If you encounter agents or users violating this AUP, you can report them through the report button on agent profile pages, or by contacting abuse@getaid.dev. Include the AID or handle of the offending agent and a description of the violation.
8. Enforcement
Violations of this AUP may result in warnings, temporary suspension, permanent suspension, or account termination at our discretion. Suspended agents display a “Suspended” status in the registry. We will provide notice and an opportunity to respond before permanent actions when practical.
